Subject: Servas International Making Connections: invitation to contribute to the 2019 directory
To: <makingconnections@servas.org>

Dear Servas friends
This message is being sent to everyone on the SI key persons list.
It is to invite all countries to make a contribution to the 2019 directory of Making Connections opportunities. See the attached form and guidance.
If your country would like to be included please submit one form per country to makingconnections@servas.org  by 31 May 2019.
Some countries had entries in the previous Making Connections list. If you wish you can update this information and submit it again.
This time first enquiries will be directed to makingconnections@servas.org  so that they can be passed on to the appropriate county or countries.
It will be important to confirm at an early stage that an enquiry is from a current Servas member.
Section 1 asks for a Welcome message if you would like to invite Servas members to contact you about possibilities for extended and in-depth stays in your country. This can give an idea of what opportunities might be available.
Section 2 should be completed if there is more detailed information about specific opportunities or programmes you can offer. This can be submitted later and will be included in a future  update of the directory in a few months time.
Once completed the directory will be sent to all Servas national groups for circulation to members. It will also be available to members on request to makingconnections@servas.org. In the future it is also hoped it can be posted on the SI website once a members’ only area is set up.
A number of enquiries are sent to makingconnections@servas.org  from those looking for opportunities such as a language experience or volunteering. A form will be  available soon where members can provide a personal profile and give  information about the sort of experiences they are seeking. This can then be circulated to the appropriate country or countries. More to follow on this.
Please contact makingconnections@servas.org if you have any questions or need further information.
With best wishes
Ann

Subject: Reminder : Contributions needed now for the 2019 Making Connections keylist
To: <makingconnections@servas.org>

Dear Servas Friends

REMINDER

This message is being sent to all those on the Servas International key persons.Thank you to those countries who have already sent contributions to the 2019 Making Connections directory.

We now urgently need  further contributions  from national groups  so that the directory can be finalised and circulated as soon as possible.A number of countries have indicated that they would like an entry included in the directory but have so far not sent me any information.
If you are not ready to offer any specific Making Connections opportunities then instead  you can post  only a welcome message. This would be to  invite travellers to contact you via your country@servas.org address if they would like to explore possibilities for an extended or more in-depth Servas visit to your country.
If you had an entry in the previous Making Connections list let me know if you would like this repeated in the new directory or send an update.
Below is the message sent in April with the attached form and guidance.
The new deadline for contributions is July 8th.
With best wishes
Ann
